June 30

Time has just flown by. Saturday, as we don't have services here, we spent the time driving around the north end of the island. We have now been as far around as we can. We went to Ritidian Point Beach. Beautiful. We faced the Philippine Sea. The seashells are amazing, but as it is a protected area, I didn't pick any up. We did take lots of photos and they are linked to this site.
There are dark blue butterflies here that won't lite long enough for me to photograph them, but at the beach we found a group that were on the sand underneath a tree. I was able to capture them on film. :-).
Sunday we attended church with friends we have made. He is the speaking pastor, as well as a teacher here. His wife also teaches. As they are from California and homeschool their children, we have a lot in common.
After church we went to Latte Stone Park. (Latte stones are not for coffee, Patty!) They are presumed to be the bottom of buildings made by the Chamorro People hundreds of years ago.

From there we went to the see the oldest Catholic church on island. It was locked! Weird, but we could see in.
Dinner was at Pizza Hut, as we had kids with us. Actually it was pretty good.
After dinner we went back to Sorenson's house and I started making a doll for Noelle. More about the doll in a future post.
