August 3, 2008

This blog is more for my benefit than others as I have a lot to say but am not good about using pen and paper.
Donna is home and recovering nicely from her surgeries. She sounds good and is in good spirits. Thank you to all who prayed for her. Please continue to hold her up in prayer as she has asked for it, and we know the Good Lord hears us. Tomorrow she returns to Stanford for a check up, tests, and to have her staples removed. It is also the 36th anniversary of her wedding to my brother, Douglas. They would have had a wonderful celebration had he lived this long.

Amy has moved to San Diego. We drove down last Friday with her car loaded to the gills. I am very thankful for my cousin, Ralph and wife, Ruhama, for feeding us, and letting us rest. We had a wonderful time with them. I hadn't seen him in 3 years and Ruhama for about 10! Time just flies. Their son, Gil, was also there. He has grown up into a nice man. At 33 (I think), he is learning about making his way in this world.

Armin and I return to work this week, he on Monday and I on Wednesday. It has been a busy 9 weeks for us. We have been to Guam, Los Angeles, Palo Alto, Fremont, and San Diego. We are glad to be going back to a routine, but it will be hard for awhile.

Just because we return to the working world does not mean we stop our house projects. The patio project is well on its way to being completed. The inside projects never stop. We just want to get as much done before Elizabeth's wedding as possible, as we don't know who is staying with us and what Elizabeth has planned for her guests.

Will post photos as I get them.
